Kala Ghoda festival features in 2010 a look:

Kala Ghoda festival a well known community celebrations conducted regularly for the past ten years.

For this year 2010 the festival will be held between 6-14 February 2010. It was started in the year 1999 and gained more popularity. Usually the festival is for 9 days duration, conducted in late January or early February, in the Kala Ghoda area of South Mumbai, India.

The specialty of this year celebration is UTV World Movies brings a slice of world culture in your neighborhood by showcasing 19 hand-picked international sellers at Kala Ghoda Festival.

Also for the first time writer led brand NINE will make its debut here. The band NINE is led by none other than journalist and bollywood lyricist Neelesh Mishra. If anyone still clueless about Neelesh , I must remind him through his famous books “173 Hours In Captivity”, “The Hijacking of IC-814”, “End of The Line:The Story of the Killing of the Royal In Nepal “ and “Once”.

The celebration Kala Ghoda festival is brain child of Kala Ghoda association (a non-profit organization that states its objectives as “physically upgrading the Kala Ghoda sub-precinct and making it the art district of Mumbai) and assisted by teams handling each of sub-festivals.

A vibrant street festival along with showcasing visual arts, dance, music, theatre, cinema, literature, lectures, seminars and workshops are parts of sub-festival for this Kala Ghoda main celebration. All the events are conducted with the help of corporate sponsorship.  Entry to the events is free but venues could accommodate a particular number audience.
