India to celebrate 63rd Republic day on January 26

January 26, is the day when India celebrates Republic Day. This year the country will be celebrating the 63rd Republic Day commemorating the day in the year 1950 when the country was declared a republic.

On this day a major event is held at the capital New Delhi, where different regiments of the Indian Army, Navy and Air Force march past in their official decorations in from of the Prime Minister. Moreover, floats exhibiting the different cultures of the various states in the country and also displayed at the parade.

The grand parade also includes performances from the school children from the various schools. On this day even the children with academic excellence are honoured at the event by the Prime Minister.
