India loses World Cup hockey match against Aussie

India went down against Australia 2-5 in men’s hockey World Cup in Delhi.

Australia’s Glenn Turner hits two goals. Liam de Young, Desmond Abbott and Like Doerner scored one goal each. In war back for India Vikram Pillay and captain Rajpal Singh hits one each and tried to reduce the margin.

Australians seeing it as a return back after anguish a striking downfall from the hands of England in the last match.

“It’s a great relief to win this game after losing the first in a disappointing manner,” Australian captain Jamie Dwyer quoted.

“They were in a different league as far as fitness and speed was concerned, they scored early goals after stupid faults by our defenders.” India coach Jose Brasa said.
