Horrifying Gang Rape in Delhi brings shame to the city

Delhi is definitely becoming an unsafe city for women. The latest horrifying incident of gang rape of a student in a moving bus is just an addition to the numerous such incidents that are taking place in the capital of India lately.

On Monday night a 23-year-old medical student became the victim of gang rape by 5 men in a moving bus. The girl was with a male friend of her when the incident happened. They boarded a whiteline bus in Munirka in South Delhi at around 11 pm after watching a movie. After a while, few people who were already in the bus started harassing the girl. When the friend of the girl opposed, he was beaten mercilessly and the girl was raped in the cabin of the bus. Later, both of them were thrown out of the bus.

The girl is admitted in Safdarjung hospital in Delhi and said to be in critical condition.
