IT IS A VERY GENUINE WAY TO SAY TO GOVT. THE PROBLUMB OF POCKET OF THE POOR PEOPLE WHICH WAS VERY MUCH ENFLUENCED BY RAISSING THE PRICE OF FUEL INDIRECTLY COST OF NECCESARY ITEMS WERE INCREASED AUTOMATICALLY .
IF GOVT. REALLY WANTS THE BENEFIT OF THE NATION THEN FIRST OF ALL HE SHOULD DECREASE THE MONTHLY EXPENDS OF MANNIYA POLITICIANS .

We all agree to the fact that the bandh called by the political parties is totally unjustified and causes a loss to the community as a whole, however why dont we also try and understand whether the price rise in fuel is actually justified or not.
The govt. in justifying the price rise has given the argument that the oil companies are bleeding and that they cannot continue to do so for the betterment of the economy, Kirit Parekh’s views on the matter were, that the govt should simultaneously reduce the duty while increasing the basic price of petrol, this serves the purpose of benefitting the oil companies, controlling inflation and sparing the common man, however this was not done.
In places like the United States, the prices of petrol are much cheaper, than it is in India, because the tax structure is more rational.
Have we ever stopped to wonder why the price of jet fuel is cheaper than regular petrol? Because the aviation companies have lobbied to make Jet fuel a declared item so it attracts a uniform ST rate of 4% instead of the whims and fancies of the central and state govts, these are the people who are actually bleeding us.
