Anna Hazare begins day long fast at Raj Ghat
India Against Corruption activist, Anna Hazare has started a day long fast to protest against corruption at Raj Ghat in New Delhi. Hazare also started the protest to protest against the police crackdown against the protest that was led by Yoga Guru Ramdev Baba.
Several protestors have already joined that fast to support Hazare that has built a pressure on the ruling Congress party. The activist before leaving for his fast in Delhi said that it is not a crime to protest against something that is wrong.
Hazare also added that what is happening is wrong and that he does not fear of dying. The 73 year old began his fast at the memorial site of Mahatma Gandhi. Protestors were also seen outside the venue of protest, while they sang, clapped and waved the national flag in support of the activist.
Several supporters were also seen wearing the India Against Corruption t-shirts. Hazare was upset over the issue that had happened on Saturday night when innocent people, which included women and children, were beaten up by the police.
