Hanging Out at TieCon 2007
For the next few days I will be hanging out and blogging from TieCon 2007.
Last year, our governator showed up, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and I am wondering who of his caliber will show up this year. ![]()
From TiE's main page -
TiE, a not-for-profit global network of entrepreneurs and professionals, was founded in 1992 in Silicon Valley, California, USA. Although its birth name, The Indus Entrepreneurs, signifies the ethnic South Asian or Indus roots of the founders, TiE stands for Talent, Ideas and Enterprise. It is an open and inclusive organization that has rapidly grown to more than forty chapters in nine countries. TiE endeavors to cultivate and nurture the ecosystems of entrepreneurship and free-market economies everywhere, as it sees this to be the single most powerful instrument of prosperity.
Over the next three days, some 4000 people will pass through the Santa Clara convention center in Silicon Valley. Some will have money, a lot of it, and many will come looking for it.
Many, all? of them have dreams….some have dreams of starting a business and making it big… others have dreams of investing in those businesses and making it rich.
I hope to have my ears bent on what's happening in Asia and who's going to make it happen and who will invest in making it happen.
What I find out…I'll share here.
