Chinese Users Most Upbeat about Internet Impact on Society
A group of Chinese, Japanese and Americans were asked in a survey conducted by Nikkei, Inc how they felt about the Internet's impact on society.
The Internet has 'improved' or 'somewhat improved' society?
93% of Chinese think society is better.
66% of Americans think so.
Just 53% of Japanese agree.
Japanese cite concerns about:
1. inappropriate release of personal information
2. fraud
3. crime
However, when asked if the NET had improved their lives, 80% or more in all three countries thought life had improved for them.
I guess when it becomes more convenient to do good and live well, it also becomes equally easy to do bad or cause harm.
Do you think life is better because of the Net?
How about society?
