Samsung Strikes Back

Yesterday I wrote about how Samsung is taking a beating because of its too small SamsungQ1. Today Samsung says its profits are growing.

Samsung expects its profits in memory chips, LCDs and mobile phone handsets to be strong the rest of this year.  Should be, I plan on buying one of their mobile phones today.

They recently raised the prices of their NAND flash memory chips – that’ll help profits.

They had ‘strong growth’ in LCD panels that are used in flat screen TVs and PCs.

And their cell phones are always cool.

I lived in Japan for many years – so I have a special affinity to Japan.

My wife is ‘made in China’…so my heart is there as well.

But for some reason, I like Korea…they remind me of the Avis of Asia. But, chances are that now that China is what is it is, Korea is not even number two anymore.
