Chinese Kissing Contest

I never heard of White Day until I got to Japan.

In Japan, only women give chocolate away on Valentine's Day. A month later, March 14th, is White Day. The guys give back to the girls then.

It seems the idea has been exported to China.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

On March 11th a department store in Shanghai held a kissing contest to mark the holiday.  10 couples tooks part and first place got 10,000 yuan.

$1300 dollars for planting one on the girl that you love. I'd like to try that.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

White Day reminds me of greeting card companies creating special days so that there is always a reason to send a card.  Good business.
