China’s Super Girl – Shang Wenjie

Posted by Bill Belew on November 6th, 2010 in China | 19 Comments

Shang Wenjie’s selection as China’s "Super Girl" was reported on SINA.

Shang had no previous voice training but majored in French at Fudan University. She won China’s version of "American Idol" by singing several Chinese pop songs and one French song.

Shang beat out two other university students and one professional singer.

In her first try in the contest, she failed in the first round. After persuading her boss to give her an extended vacation (she should get a prize for that) she practiced hard and made it to the top 20.

Still not wanting to give up, she went to Guangzhou to try again …and win.

According to Chinese chat rooms, she did not win on her good looks, but rather on her determination, persistence and modesty…and she can sing, too.

China has a new Super Girl.

 What do you think?

My family and I support Laure Shang very much. Her way of singing, vocal and spirit encourages us to step further on music and world strecthing voice.

While on the other side, my youngest brother love Tan very much since the first performance of her while singing “I’m dancing alone – Wo Yi Ge Ren Tiaowu ” as I love this song as well.

My brother more fonding of her singing style, professionally trained voice, great stage performance, expressions of waving her voice which attract your mind.

Wouldn’t you believe and wondering to put a vote to this singer? Even Supergirl’s judges always support and praise Tan sang wonderfully & seriously on every events of contest.

It’s hardly even to find a great singer like her. Won’t you impressed by her ” Hai Shi Shen Lou”, “Qing Zhang Gao Yuan “, “Dang Shi”, “Shi le Dou Yao Ai ” etc.

As most of judges said ” A perfect professional singer is bothered to participate in singing contest as voting don’t support or stand by you, that’s the case who beat down somebody else.

People who need people are the luckiest people in the world.

Yeah, I like Gong He a lot too!! She’s such a great singer. Too bad things didn’t go her way. She really shouldn’t have lost to Wen Jie in the qualifying rounds. The fact that they include ex and present contestants as part of the voting group is unfair. But it’s over and well, at least she can sing though her fashion sense might be totally out of question. But I have to say I don’t like her very much, not my kind of Super Girl champion anyway.

Let’s don’t argue about Liu Liyang, Tan Weiwei, Ai Mongmong and Laure.

Still remember the 11th winner, Gonghe ? I love natural voice and performance. She absolutely a great singer. Wondering her 7 times of PK, she can go through them all and become the 3rd winner.

Why on the grand final, she losed it and Shang Wenjie successfully go into the 10th winner? Although Gong’s voice of vote is 2 times greater than Shang’s at that time. It makes me wonder that audience or promoter’s voting isn’t fair.

On the final grandfinal if Shang won from Tan, I can trust it through voice vote and promotion’s vote on stage.

Don’t you think it is weird? Coz none of the judges choose and put Shang into 10 winner selection.

I’m losing and regretting of this event. Really ! I was disappointed and in sorrow when I was watching TV that Gonghe lost into final.

To be a good supporter of our idol or singer. We should be humble and sincere in reflecting his/ her attitude as sample to the other fans. Won’t you think that it’s not good to urgue or mock other super Girl’s participant.

It’s not whether they are talented or professional singer but on fans’ heart and mind, he or she is their idol to be mimic.

I love Tan Weiwei 2006 and Jane zhang 2006 since the beginning of the contest but when they are not going out as a winner, I wasn’t get into despair. Coz I believe that through their hardworking, practising, talented, attitude, encouragement, sincerity, tolerated of others ; they will generally become great singer amoung the others in China.

If you love and fond of somebody; believe in, support and do the best for them but not cheating or threatening the others.

Let’s us prays and see that God will fulfil your dreams come true.

Remember : Your God and My God are one.
