Beijing is trying to cereat free trade agreements with countries in the PanAsian region.

The US is trying to strengthen its ties with traditional Chinese adversaries; India, Japan and Vietnam.

Beijing is striking deals.

The US is trying to save the world.

In May of this year, Australia shipped its first installment of $25 billion worth of liquid natural gas to China.

As a result Australia is enjoying an economic expansion of its own – thanks to China. Some in Australia call a tax reduction last year in Australia – the China Tax Cut."

But does that mean that Australia will not be the close ally to America that it has been? Does it matter? Is it even a question worth considering?
