Twenty five year old Britney Spears wants to do the Angelina Jolie thing…or the Madonna thing or, golly, what is it she wants to do?

Apparently Britney has 'fallen' for a four year old boy from Bali who lost his entire family in the tsunami in 2004.

Britney is said to have 'instantly wanted to help him and is sponsoring him until she can find out more.'

Instantly in Britneyese means two years after the fact.

Xinhua says she has even written to officials seeking advice.

Wow! She can write, too. Of course, it took her two years to compose the letter.

High on her list of advisors is the expert Madonna, which according to Xinhua is an indication that Britney is taking the whole issue very seriously.

Good grief. Angelina Jolie, Madonna and now Britney Spears…trying to save the world one at a time…and stopping at just one…or two or three in Angie and Brad's case.

It used to be you could send 20 bucks to an organization and they would do all the work for the donator.

I know of a legitimate place in India that will sponsor, educate and stay with kids until they grow up for about $15/month…and nothing goes to admin costs….

Oh, and nothing goes to the local celebrity fad club either.

I wonder…who is going to adopt Britney until she grows up.
