Tiger Woods Gets His Own Golf Course
Tiger Woods will design and develop his first golf course – in Dubai, UAE.
It will be a 7,700-yard, par-72 course. Additionally, it will have a 60,000 sqaure foot clubhouse, a golf academy, 320 exclusive villas and a boutique hotel featuring 80 suites.
So, which is it? A resort or a golf course?
Tiger's golf course will be the ninth course in Dubai. Woods won the inagural Dubai Classic earlier this year in a playoff with Ernie Elis.
Tiger chose Dubai first because, well Tiger likes a challenge – transforming a desert terrain into a world-class golf course.
The Dubai developers responded – "We never looked for anyone beyond Tiger for the project because we believe in only working with the very best," al-Muntafiq said.
Tiger is the best. Dubai is rich. To be sure, it will be worth Tiger's time to have his hand in the development.
Asia gets Tiger's first golf course. Eat your hearts, India and China.
