Maruti A-star Car launched in India
India’s largest car manufacturer and the second largest car exporter, Maruti Suzuki, launched its new model, Maruti A-Star in India a few hours ago. We bring you the latest pictures from the launch for our visitors.
Maruti A-Star is the most awaited model of the year and one of the last models that will be launched this year. It is also one of the biggest car launches of the year since the auto market in India and across the world is witnessing a historic slump. Maruti sales figures have not been too impressive either in past few months and the company hopes to take on Hyundai i10 with its new model. 
Suzuki launches its next generation K-series petrol engines with the launch of its new model. The car will be available at an introductory price ranging from Rs. 3.47 lakh to Rs. 4.12 lakh. “We have started the ground work to launch a car which is conceived, designed and developed fully in India,” Maruti Suzuki India Managing Executive Officer (Engineering) I V Rao said.
The new Maruti A-Star will be manufactured at their Manesar plant where the company has made an investment of Rs. 2500 crores for expansion and up-gradation of the plant. It will also be an extension to its existing Gurgaon plant.
