Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU) is one of the top universities of India setup in the city of Hyderabad. JNTU was founded in the year 1965 as Nagarjuna Sagar College of Engineering and was affiliated to Osmania University. As time passed, this college achieved great heights and in the year 1972 it was renamed as Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University(JNTU) with Jawaharlal Nehru College of Engineering functioning as a constituent college of the University.

More than 250 colleges are affiliated to JNTU and students seek admissions into these after facing the EAMCET for 10+2 students and ECET for Diploma students. JNTU degrees are recognized by All India Council of Technical Education, and hence are recognized worldwide.
