IPL Chairman Chirayu Amin admits to bungling by Governing Council

The new Chief of the IPL, Chirayu Amin has said that the GC allowed Lalit Modi to get away by putting too much trust on the man. Amin added that the GC should have not allowed the matters to reach such a head.
Amin added, that it was probably something to do with the success of IPL, which was so amazing that “everyone was basking in its glory”.
He also added, “Certain details were not disclosed to us in all this. We trusted Modi in good faith.” Amin was the member of Governing Council himself.
Amin is the owner of pharma company Alembic, takes over as the IPL chief from Lalit Modi, who was suspended due to allegations of money laundering and tax evasions.
Modi had tweeted yesterday that he was still the chairman of the IPL, only suspended for a brief period of time.
