China’s Hottest Girl – Gong Li Takes on the Environment

Chinese actors and actresses seem to be taking their lead from their American counterparts.

One of China's favorites, Gong Li, sat in on the Fifth Session of the Tenth National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing, on Saturday, March 3, 2007.

Gong Li has been submitting proposals reminding people "of the importance and urgency to process garbage, sewage and excess gas." She has no plan…her point is make people aware of the issue.

Actors and actresses can influence people…but fame is not enough to drive people to good deeds, Gong Li said in an interview.

Indeed! People will change when they feel the need from within, not from without.

However, having people like this star in China, may just a tad, help create an awareness.

Her actions caught my attention.
