China supplies most foreign wives to Japan

In any country, the men and women sometimes marry outside of their nation…they meet and fall in love when overseas – with students or workers they are in contact with.

Sometimes foreign workers come to Japan and cupid strikes.

There are, of course, any number of other reasons.

The top six countries that are a source of foreign wives for Japanese men are:
