Sony Wows Them!
Japan still has a business lead in some areas. Gaming is one of them.
At the Electronic Entertainment Expo in LA that began this week Sony wowed the audience with a demonstration of PS3 . When I heard how much it cost, even I said, "Wow!" $499 for 20 gigabyte version. For another Ben Franklin you can get 6 more gigabyte.
Excelling in the graphics is where Sony wanted to distinguish itself. Japan pays tremendous attention to detail. I am not surprised that the Japanese can do this part better than anyone.
But, Sony is not the only company that is vying for the lead in the gaming industry – in this case Sony wants to keep its lead. Another Japanese company, Nintendo and Microsoft are trying to make serious hacks at Sony’s marketshare.
Sony Computer Entertainment of America president, Kaz Hirai, demonstrated the confidence he has in Sony products – "We have said many times that the next generation of gaming doesn’t start until we say it has started."
Well, tell us….has it started? Or do we need to wait until November when PS3 comes out?
