Mazda loves China for several reasons -

1. Mazda Motor Corp will launch its MPV minivan and Roadster sports car in China.

Reason – buy our cars, that is, stoke sales.

2. China’s FAW Group Corp will produce the vehicles. FAW and Mazda have a joint venture.

3. Mazda already sells the Mazda Premacy in China.

4. The Roadster will be imported from Japan by March (end of fiscal year) next year.

5. Once Mazda sends these two additions, the company will have seven models available in China.

6. Additionally, Mazda will start making a mass-market sedan at a joint venture factory in Nanjing – something along the lines of the Mazda6 or Mazda Atenza.

7. Mazda sales in China are up 37% this year for the first half.

8. And Mazda forecasts that about 20% of its worldwide sales of 1.6 million units come from China.
