You can do the math…abt 500,000 phone calls were made in about 4 hours. During the opening and closing ceremonies of the Olympic Games in Beijing, some 490,000 people made phone calls, 24,000 of them in or around the Bird’s Nest. 20,000 of them were international roaming service users.

The successful connection rate was 100% or almost perfect. Disconnection rate was 0.27%. Can you hear me now?

Some 3,000 media reporters used the WLAN wireless transmission service and China’s self-developed 3G TD-SCDMA network was used for the first time.

1.2 million people watched the games on their mobile phones.

13 million users received Olympic newsletters.

All of this was done by one mobile carrier – China Mobile.

Can you hear me now?
