Lenovo Spies

Submitted by Bill Belew on Friday, 24 March 2006No Comment

The Chinese are indeed sneaky.  And the extent they will go to spy on us, well, can you imagine?

It seems the State Department recently purchased 15,000 Lenovo computers. It probably doesn’t matter that they were built in NC and Mexico.

Liberal and conservative critics alike are afraid the deal will help the Chinese to spy on US embassies and US intelligence (maybe they can pitch in and offer up some better intelligence) gathering activities. This would be done by using hardware and software planted in the computers. Ooo….

First the US tried to sell our ports to an Arab country, now it wants to purchase ‘ports’ from the Chinese and allow the Chinese to keep or at least hide the keys.

It is no secret that the Chinese do spy on us and that some/many Arab countries hate us.

But are we making it easier for them to hurt us? Maybe.

What do you think?
