52 Million Visitors!!

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 23 March 2006No Comment

Where is the most visited Mall in the World?

I think it must be the Mall down the street from where I live, because everytime I go there I can’t ever find a parking place. How do they know when I plan to go there?

Anyway…the most visited Mall in the world is Moscow’s Mega-1 Mall

They had 52 million visitors last year! Holy cow! I visited a mall in Khabarovsk Far East Russia about 15 years ago…wait a minute…no, I didn’t. There weren’t any malls back then. There was nothing.

When we went shopping, we went to the farmer’s market and drank warm curdly milk.

Russia is finally coming around.

Near the mall, young couples pluck down $20,000 in cash for a Mitsubishi Lancer . I can’t do that. Can you? And I am not young!

The reason? In Russia, 70% of all income is disposable compared to 40% in the West.

Russians have money.  The young or middle-aged who earn just $1000 monthly can afford to buy a new car. And not only that they want to buy a new car and a new television and a new DVD player and and….

Are you planning on doing business in Russia?

Why not?
