Wal-Mart Gets Bought Out by Korean Shinsagae

Wal-Mart has been purchased by South Korean Shinsagae .

Wal-Mart is South Korea that is.

Wal-Mart said the will "focus their efforts where they can have the greatest impact on their growth strategy."

What that means is, they can make more money somewhere else than they can in South Korea. OR…they couldn’t figure out how to navigate the the South Korean discount market and attract South Korean customers.

Wal-Mart couldn’t make it in South Korea after being there for about 8 years.  The best they could do was last place among Korea’s five major discount stores.

Gee…Wal-Mart canNOT do everything everwhere. Isn’t that interesting?

What do you think?

Wal-Mart needs to come back home and get out of the fiarine market. And stop worring about how to make money in other Countries because it is destoying the job market here with low wages and poor benefits.
At one time Wal Mark was a great place to work but now it is just a means of paying the bills.
