DPRK – 300,000 Homeless, 100s Dead

Submitted by Bill Belew on Wednesday, 15 August 2007No Comment

Once I was in a bad spot in my life. Friends told me to cheer up, it could be worse. I cheered up and sure enough, it got worse.

That's pretty much the way things are for the DPRK.

The agricultural ministry is predicting gloom and despair as unprecedented torrential rains have poured down in the dark

The agency said. "It is hard to expect a high grain output owing to the uninterrupted rainstorms at the most important time for the growth of crops in the country."

Floods have killed 100s and some 200-300K North Koreans are now homeless and "more than 11 percent of paddy and maize fields submerged, buried or swept away."

So, how much worse can it get for North Korea before the people say "enough!" with their crazy leader?
