Toyota and Google Team Up in YouTube-based Ad Campaign
Google Inc. and Toyota Motor Corp are teaming up on a new marketing drive that will combine:
1. Live Music Performances
2. Video Postings
YouTube will host events which feature music artists and creators who are popular on YouTube.
The event will take place at Live House in Tokyo on November 23rd.
Toyota will provide the funds for the event and in return will have its ultracompact car iQ plastered everywhere. Videos created at the event can be freely posted. Promotional videos, too.
Automakers like Toyota are getting pretty smart when it comes to advertising via social networking services and video sharing sites…that is using old-fashioned word-of-mouth in a new-fashioned way.
