I never even knew there was such a thing as the International Federation of Competitive Eating.

But there is, and one of my neighbors, Joey "Jaws" Chestnut is ranked second in the world.

Takeru "Tsunami" Kobayashi is ranked 1st.

Joey Chestnut holds the world record of 59.5 HDBs in 12 minutes.

But Takeru Kobayashi is still the champ. The only one to beat Kobayashi was an elephant in a cabbage eating contest.

The two will face off next Wednesday in New York at the

annual Nathan's Hot Dog Eating Contest.
