A bit of history leading up to the 5th ODI, India vs England at CUTTACK.

Srinivas writes in one of the comments (with some editing from me)

“It’s always awesome to see a match India plays at the Barabati Stadium in Cuttack. After all, India has played 11 matches in all in which it tasted success in 7 of the matches. The first one day international played at this venue was between India and England in 1981 and was won by India.

Sachin Tendulkar also has a nice record at this venue having hit a century against Kenya .

The stadium boasts world class amenities and with recent renovations and upgrades to the stadium it has world class facilities like a sauna bath, spa, etc. The venue will be greatly enjoyed by both sides.

Would love to see India emerge victorious at this beautiful venue. The Barabati Stadium continues to be the pride of Orissa. It will be icing on the cake if local boy Pragyan Ojha gets a chance to wear the coveted India cap at this venue.”
