India’s Projected Economic Growth

I attended a recent Investment in China and India Summit hosted by Financial Research Associates I will use this forum to share some of the slide/insights that were given at this summit for the benefit of those hoping/thinking/planning on investing in an Asian country – China, India or Japan.
Here is what I learned about the predicted growth in India….
GDP growth (excluding agriculture) is 6.5%
Per capita income is still less than $700 ($654 as of 2005)
Total GDP is $720.3 billion (as of 2005)
Per capita income by 2025 – $6,000
2050 – $22,900 (estimated at 35 times the existing pe capita income)
Will be the third largest GDP economy by 2050 behind U.S. and China.Source: Probitas
Read it. In my openion, one tends to see what they want to see to some degree. Look at the bigger picture.
