India’s Market Attractiveness
I attended a recent Investment in China and India Summit hosted by Financial Research Associates I will use this forum to share some of the slide/insights that were given at this summit for the benefit of those hoping/thinking/planning on investing in an Asian country – China, India or Japan.
Here are some figures that make India’s Market attractive:
India ranks # 3 in the 2004 AT Kearny FDI Confidence Survey (after China and the US)
300 million people is the size of India’s middle class.
6 is the number of Indian firms in Businessweek’s Top 100 Info-tech firms
$1 billion in revenue is what Cisco expects to earn in India in 2007 (up from $300 million in 2004)
2 million NEW movile phone connections are made per month.

When it comes to 2025, where do the futurist put U.S. and China as far as numbers, and what about 2050?
