India vs England ODI Series 2008 will be telecast the matches live on NEO.

I don’t know much, but I know a little bit about cricket. Bowlers bowl but there are no pins. Home runs are hit but nobody runs bases. There are matches, not games, and if the matches go long enough, both sides are often happy enough to just go home, after tea of course.

What I do know about cricket I learned on a trip to India.

It happened to be a day called the Festival of Colors. People run around crazily and smear paint on anyone that stands still long enough to have the deed done to them. My Indian friends told me that a white guy like me would be more than fair game. Consequently, they locked me up in a hotel room for the entire day. The only thing to do was watch a cricket match on the tube.

So, they explained the rules to me.

Frankly, I don’t remember much. I do remember, however, that my Indian friends loved the game and they explained it to me with passion. I also remember that it was fun to spend the day with good friends from the other side of the world, watching them spend time doing what they really enjoy…watching a sporting event. It’s not unlike what we do here in the West with our sporting events.

Music, dance, sports….indeed bring the world together to have fun and make friends.
