You Fight Dirty!

ChinaB-WIPS, the official China Broadband Wireless Internet provider, is accusing the backers of the American system of "a lot of dirty tricks, including, deception, misinformation, confusion and reckless charging to lobby against WAPI, China’s own standard.

That’s outrageous! Especially since we know that China ALWAYS fights fair.

China wants to promote its own technology in an effort to reduce dependence on foreign technology and give its own companies an edge in their own marketplace.

Last year, China backed off an effort to make WAPI its mandatory national standard after the US government complained it would hamper access to the Chinese market.

Outvoted by ISO members 25-75, China replied "Phewey!" And insisted that it will firmly support the WAPI technology for domestic use.

China says WAPI is more secure than 802.1li, developed by Santa Clara-based INTEL .

Hey, now that’s too close to home. Intel is my neighbor!"

If you are thinking about doing business in China, you might have to pick a side.

It could get interesting….what do you think?
