“Who wants to be a Millionaire?” – Chinese style

Submitted by Bill Belew on Thursday, 25 January 2007No Comment

Dutch company 2waytraffic owns the rights to the TV show "Who Wants to be a Millionaire?"

When the company saw the success of "Super Girls" modeled after "American Idol" the company figured, there are probably hundreds of millions of people in China who would like to be a millionaire….and rightly so, I think.

2waytraffic signed a deal tieh Chinese company to produce a local edition of the program.

Starting in May China Media Company will air at least 104 episodes of the program.millionaire.jpg

A Cantonese version was launched several years back…The new version will be in Mandarin, the main language of the country.

How about you? Do you want to be a millionaire?
