Where Do 178 Million Travelers Go?

Where do 178 million travelers go when they are on the move? That’s a bit more than half of the population of the United States and about the population of Japan and Korea combined.
From Sept 29-Oct 5th 178 million Chinese traveled during “Golden Week.” That’ number was up 22% over last year.
The week centered on the founding of the People’s Republic of China in 1949.
Some $11.68 billion was spent, up 24%. Air industry revenue was up 34% and rail was up 35%.
Beijing had 35% more tourists than usual.
Of that 178 million, 279 lodged complaints, two died and four were injured. That’s it???!!!
So, where do 178 million travelers go? Everywhere.
China has some 119 major tourist destinations.
