Transformers Beats Spiderman 3 will be the headlines if the live action sci-fi movied about warring robots continues to do the rest of the week what it did over the weekend…make money!

The movie raked in 22.42 million yuan on the first day and 38 million in the first two days.

Insiders are predicting the movie will hit 100 million yuan in the first week and 200 million at the box office overhaul, beating Spiderman 3 which made 140 million yuan.

The mainstream Chinese movie-goers were Transformer fans of the TV series in the 1980s….from which the movie was adapted.
