The Most Feminine Chinese Woman – Na Ying

Posted by Bill Belew on April 29th, 2007 in All about China | No Comments

I have posted here before about the top ten hottest Chinese girls: Zhang Ziyi, Gong Li, and Fan Bingbing. But sometimes we wonder how the Chinese select their hottest girls.

Here’s a collection of the 20 most feminine Chinese women (Chinese translation) as selected by Chinese Good Housekeeping Magazine.

# 19 is Na Ying, Chinese popular singer. So, what kind of woman do you prefer?

Since nobody has chimed in, I will. My vote: Feminine, but not necessarily based on the photo “contest.”

Interesting that Gong Li was the only woman to make both lists. Great PR, I guess.

What I find funny is that many of my whiter-than-white, Mr. Neocon friends back in the States are attracted to sexy and sultry Asian women (with an obvious preference for Thai women) … the type of women whom they could never, ever get. For me, I’ll take Liaoning or Shandong women any day of the week — as long as I can talk with them in English and don’t have to hear their regional Mandarin accents. #1, Dalian; #2, Jinan (but who would want to live there?); #3, Qingdao; #4, Chengdu; #5, Suzhou; #6, Wuxi; #7, Shanghai (but not a native); #8, Hong Kong; # 9, Beijing; #10, Jilin City (however, I wouldn’t want to live there, either).
