Taiwan Blasted for UN Memberships Bid

Beijing is slamming Taiwan authorities for applying to join the United Nations under its own name – The Republic of China.

Taiwan has failed in past attempts and this new application is not likely to fare any better.

In the meantime, China's Foreign Ministry is saying, "We resolutely oppose it and will keep a close eye on the development of the issue. The Taiwan authorities' attempt to split China will absolutely not succeed."

China – will not give up its land. The country would rather lose people than land, I have heard.

China has far too many people and not

enough places to put them…thus the value of land in some eyes exceeds the value of the lives it may cost to keep the land.

Taiwan remaining a part of China…the issue seems to be on the side of the mainland for now.
