There were three questions asked:

1.  Do you like Japan?

China 64% responded they do NOT like Japan. South Koreans were equally strong in their feelings – 63% said they do NOT like Japan.

In China 27% had no feeling one way or the other whereas 29% of South Koreans had no feelings one way or the other.

Both countries had 8% admit to liking Japan.

2.  Is it possible to resolve historic issues?

50% of Japanese think a resolution is possible.

Surprisingly 53% of Chinese said it is possible.

Just one-third of South Koreans have hopes of a resolution.

3. What would be an effective solution?

48% of Chinese want an apology

43% of Koreans want the same.

13% of Japanese think that will do.

24% of Koreans think there should be a reconsideration of compensation.

15% of Chinese want money

8% of Japanese think money will make a difference.

Japan is for more human exchange – 29%

China is not so eager to talk – 15%

Koreans think it is meaningless to talk more – 6%

Feelings are still strong – even after all these years.
