Shanghai Salaries Grow the Most in China

Shanghai residents saw their salaries grow the most of all of Chinese cities last year.

The average growth was 7.7%. Guangzhou residents' salaries grew 7.6% and Beijingers' 7.2%.

Salaries are expected to grow 7.7% again this year across China.

The biggest increases were in the auto industry – 8.2%. High-techies saw their salaries go up 7.3%.

The highest salary increases were in petrochemicals and IT industries – average raises were 8.3%.

Manufacturing, retail, auto and financial sectors were also surveyed.
