Shanghai Airport Shuts Down Due To Military Exercises

Shanghai is China's largest city. Its two airports serve those people.

For about five hours the airport was shut down because of massive military exercises.

Officials at Beijing-based Civil Aviation Administration of China refused to say why.

But, who else, what else, is big enough to shut down China's major airport, serving its biggest city?pudong airport.jpg

China's military is the only entity that has more authority over China's airspace than the commercial airlines.
