Santa’s Factory Located in Yiwu, China

Christmas goods from a Yiwu, Zhejiang Province jumped 42.6% over last year to $37.90 million, or 9,869 tons of goods, up 35.5%. These goods account for half of the Christmas gifts that Santa brings, and also for the terrible mileage he gets on reindeer feed.

99 countries imported goods from Yiwu this year…20 more than last year.

One reason for the large growth – more children have been good in Ghana, Nigeria and Senegal and Santa needs to reward them.

Good quality, low price, lots of stocking fillers, all those extras, are mayiwu-zhejiang.jpgde in Yiwu.

No doubt, the citizens of Yiwu are happy that Santa's lists are long and growing.

What do you think?

I am sure the dollar values are very much underestimated as many people declare lower than actual value with their customs. Besides good prices and acceptable quality, Yiwu offers enormous varieties. We spent almost 7 days in Yiwu to purchase for Christmas lines. It could have taken us much longer without any help. There’s too much to see and too little time. We had to hire a purchasing agent to expedite the process We picked yachina.com and all went ok. We weren’t very happy with some of the sellers in Yiwu though. They always seem to be too busy to talk to customers, and when they do, they talk really loud like we were deaf!
