The Northeast Asia Investment and Trade Expo is going on at Changchun International Exhibition Center. Changchun is the capital of Jilin province in northeast China. It is also very close to very cold.

Some 51 countries have sent representatives to explore possibilities for collaboration with Chinese companies, to find market niches, to shop and to sell.

On top of the list of desirable products and partnerships is Chinese companies who have advanced technology in clean energy – solar and wind.

Two companies that are not in the northeast of China are Roy Solar Co. of Shanghai and Topway SOlar Co. of Shenzhen. Filipino businessmen are aiming to visit the expo to see what is what and then stop by these two companies on their way back home heading south.

China has more to offer the world than just factories and cheap workers. China may be taking the lead in clean energy technology. At least that’s what one representative from the Philippines thinks.
