New York Yankees Sign Two Chinese Players – Kai Liu, Zhenwang Zhang
The New York Yankees have signed a pair of 19-year olds, both from China.
They are Kai Liu and Zhenwang Zhang.
Kai Liu is a pitcher and Zhenwang Zhang is a catcher…makes up a nice battery, eh? And there shouldn't be any problem communicating signs between them, too.
Liu played for the Guangdong Province team and is a member of China's national team. Zhang played for the Tianjin Lions who won the Chinese title in 2002, 2005 and 2006.![]()
The Yankees already have a working agreement with the Chinese Baseball Association that was signed in January of this year.
