Movie About Bruce Lee’s Kung Fu Teacher – Yip Man
A Hong Kong movie about Bruce Lee's Kung Fu teacher, Yip Man, is in the works.
The biographical movie will be made by Mandarin Films.

Wong Kar-wai, director of "Lady from Shangai" starring Nicole Kidman and "My Blueberry Nights" starring ude Law, Natalie Portman, Rachel Weisz and Norah Jones had the rights but they expired.
Thus…Mandarin Films has stepped in.
Bruce Lee grew up in Hong Kong and studied martial arts from age 13 with Yip Man.
Lee then moved to the U.S.
He got the part of Kato in the "Green Hornet" TV series, then moved back to Hong Kong to make movies.
He died in 1973 in Hong Kong at the age of 32 from swelling in the brain.
