Leonardo DiCaprio Wannabe Flies Plane in China
A Leonardo DiCaprio wannabe in China downloaded various identification documents, bought a pilot's uniform online and succeeded in getting on a plane that was heading to his hometown in Guizhou.
The 23-year old got into the cockpit of a plane at Beijing Capital International Airport and was only undone when the plane's pilot noticed his lack of knowledge about aviation matters.
Immediate question: Who was supposed to be in the cockpit with the pilot? Didn't alarms go off when some guy shows up out of the red?![]()
Leonardo DiCaprio pulled off the same stunt in the 2002 Steven Spielberg movie Catch Me If You Can.
But…hey, that's Hollywood, not real life.
The young man was fined 500 yuan ($65) and detained for 10 days before he went on to impersonate other professions.
What job would you like to pretend to be able to do?
How about an astronaut?
