Lang Lang Nomintate for Best Instrumental Soloist Grammy
The 25-year old Chinese pianist, Lang Lang, has been nominated for Best Instrumental Soloist at the upcoming 50th Grammy Awards.
It is the first time a Chinese musician has appeared on the Grammy's list of nominees.
Lang Lang's rendition of "Beethoven: Piano Concertos Nos. 1 & 4" earned him the nomination.
He collaborated with Christoph Eschenbach.
As soon as it was launched in North America it moved to No. 1 on Billboard's Top Classical Albums. It took just one week to get there.
Lang Lang will collaborate with another pop pianist to play Gershwin's Rhapsody in Blue at the awards ceremony.
