China Lake Monsters Boost Tourism in Kanas Lake – Loch Ness?

Posted by Bill Belew on July 11th, 2007 in All about China | No Comments

If Britain can have its Lochness Monster, then why can't Kanas Lake have one, too?

And, while we are at it, why can't Kanas Lake be in Burgin County in Altay Prefecture, Xinjiang. (When I started writing this I thought it was Kansas Lake.)

Kanas Lake is China's deepest mountain lake…as deep as 600 feet (188 meters).

Tourists come to see the mountains, the forests and the lake monsters.

A couple of days ago…some tourists say they spotted about 15 animals

cruising the lake. When the monster sticks him/herself out of the water, he rises up about 2 meters or so.

There have been three recordings of the creature….but for some reason..s/he is still Youtube shy.

Do you believe in monsters?
