Japanese/German Defense Chiefs Point Think China Could be Military Threat

Ever since Chinese troops crushed pro-democracy protesters in Beijing's Tiananmen Square in 1989 the EU has imposed a weapons embargo on China.

China wants it lifted.

Japan's Defense Ministry is calling China's military expansion a top regional security concern.

Some Japanese officials are calling China a threat. 2.5 million-member military and double digit spending increase every year…ummm…what do you think?

Germany's Defense Chief said he had similar concerns about China which were addressed in talks with China's Defense Minister.

Both Germany and Japan think the EU should maintain its ban on arms exports to China.

I wonder why any country needs to be increasing their arms at this time…not just China.
