So, why is Hong Kong such a tourist destination? Shopping. Jewellry. Tatoos. Uh, tatoos is what the sailors always went for after they bought a ring or a necklace to take back to their sweethearts.

Hong Kong is exporting more of its jewellry…exporting more of it to everywhere.

Last year, Hong Kong exported $3.7 billion work of jewellry according to its Trade Development Council.

Hong Kong's Top Three

1. United States – up 7%

2. UK – up 11%

3. France – up 32%

Others –

4. Chinese mainland – up 47%

5. India – up 83%

6. Russia – up 209%!

Hong Kong is staging its International Jewelry Show this week….and expects sales to keep climbing.

Have you ever bought jewelry in/from Hong Kong?

When I was there, I didn't notice that it was really all that much cheaper than anywhere else.
